Character Counts! is a character education program.  It stresses the importance of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.  This is a school-wide initiative that will not only be used in the classroom, but in athletics as well.  More information concerning sports and character education can be found at http://josephsoninstitute.org/sports/.

Congratulations to senior Kiley Rusen for being named Athlete of the Week.  Kiley scored 21 points in 2 games this week as the Bulldogs went 1 - 1 with a win over Leyden and a tough loss at Timothy Christian. All of Kiley's points came from behind the arc as she nailed 7 3 pointers and played tremendous team basketball. Congrats to Kiley on a terrific week.

Congratulations to junior Mark Schraidt for being named Athlete of the Week. Mark, at 152lbs., entered the IHSA Regional unseeded. He lost in the first round of the day then bounced back, winning 3 straight matches and avenging a loss from conference rival Mike Datavs of Fenton. Placing 3rd in the IHSA Regional, Mark now moves on to the IHSA Sectional championships Friday and Saturday at Lemont.
